Eye Feel Good Outdoors

Passionate about a very worthy cause and with a love of the great outdoors Richard Fee set up Eye Feel Good, a not for profit organisation in 2009 which offers a wide range of outdoor activities within the South Antrim area.  

In recognition of the level of care his wife Anne Marie received whilst she was treated at the Royal Liverpool Hospital for Occular Melanoma Richards aim was to raise much needed funds for the Eye Tumour Research Fund in Liverpool Hospital.  Very quickly the momentum gathered as Richard was approached to help raise money for local cancer charities and hospitals through a range of fund raising events 

Located at Antrim Lough Shore Marina, Eye Feel Good Outdoors is surrounded by land and water.  Offering a year round programme of activities you can choose from: canoeing/kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, rafting/raft building, climbing wall/abseiling, archery, orienteering, team building and general outdoor pursuits.  The organisation is situated in the ideal base to take advantage of tourism in the area and offer outdoor learning opportunities for local schools, colleges, youth groups, providing Summer Schemes, team building days and events for the residents of South Antrim and beyond. 

The water based activities take place on the Lough, the Six Mile Water and River Bann, and the land based activities happen in the land surrounding the Lough- including Reas Wood, and the Castle Grounds. Open to everyone- adults and children alike, Eye Feel Good outdoors caters for children from 2+ and those with mobility problems. The organisation had extensive experience in organising outdoor pursuits and team-building events as part of their general fundraising - including the now annual Antrim to Castlerock Canadian 3 day Canoe Expedition which has almost doubled in size in 2011.
